White Shepherd Puppy

Offered by: Cassie

Description

Just over a month ago, my partner and I bought a white shepherd to serve as a companion to my dog, and to be a dog for my partner. She was a wonderful addition, and gets on particularly well with my dog. Unfortunately however, my partner and I have since split up and are about to find separate homes, and consequently, we feel that the best option is to find her a new home whilst she is still young and able to bond strongly with someone.

She is a lovely puppy and an extremely attractive dog - she pulls the crowds. She is very clever and able to learn new commands in one session. She sits and waits for her meals, walks well on a lead, knows her name and is toilet trained (actually goes to our back door and whines when she needs to go out). She comes from some of the best stock in Australia - and her pedigree and papers will be provided to her new owners. Her father has a perfect hip score of 0:0, and her mother is not much further off and she had neuro-stimulation as a puppy (hence one time at the vet she actually fell asleep -she is quite a relaxed puppy). She is from coloured lines, in that whilst her father is white too, her mother is sable and so she possesses greater genetic diversity than what is typically found in white shepherds. She has a perfectly straight back, and is quite agile and fast. She likes to retrieve.
She is a good eater and has large paws so will probably be a decent sized shepherd when fully grown.

She managed to fit in well in our family of 2 adults and 2 dogs, but as she was raised in a home with children, she absolutely adores them and I think she would be best suited as a family dog. We have started puppy school and socialising her and given the chance, she will play with children. She is very affectionate with everyone, and would bond strongly with a family, rather than our other dog who has just bonded to one person. That said, she shows good guarding instincts and does not run and hide from strange shapes at night, but rather will stand at your side and bark at them (which is impressive for a puppy). Absolutely no aggression towards people or other animals, and no strong drive to hunt.

She has not yet been desexed as she is too young, but has had all of her vaccinations, microchipped, worming etc and fed a mix of human grade meats and Royal Canin for German Shepherd Puppies.

As someone who has owned many dogs in my life, I feel that this is a relatively easy puppy. She is not too dominant, wants to please and learn, is food motivated and quick on the uptake.

We will hold her until we find the right home - she deserves someone who will love her and enjoy her and preference will be given to families with children as I feel this would be ideal for her.

We paid around $1500 for her, and have spent $100's since on food, vet, training etc but are open to offers above $1000 from the right home.
