Description

Big, black, beautiful

Re-listed after a dishonoured bid. Tyre kickers need not apply.

This car is a real head turner in glossy diamond black, no rust, dents or scrapes. Looks new, in and out except for a some tiny stone chips on the bonnet. It has obviously been garaged and babied all its life. I got it from a Subaru workshop, where it had just had a replacement low kilometres engine fitted after the original blew a head gasket. The vehicle has had one owner since new and complete log book service records with the same authorised Subaru dealership. It has an impeccable history.

The interior is black leather with burnished walnut trim accents. Apart from the slightest of visible wear on the driver's seat, the interior looks new, and it's just gorgeous inside.

This model is top of the line, and comes with a multitude of luxuries, including keyless entry, McIntosh hi fidelity sound system, bluetooth and sat nav, electric memory seats, dual zone climate control, remote keyless entry and start, courtesy road surface illumination on approach, reversing camera, and much more. And it all works flawlessly.

When the engine was replaced the car was thoroughly checked. Brake pads, rotors, tyres, plenty of wear remaining. All hoses and belts in prime condition. Nothing to spend.

On the road this is a treat to drive, refined, smooth, quiet, but when you put your boot in the front lifts, the road gets suddenly shorter, and traffic disappears in the rear view mirror. It looks and rides like a limo but accelerates, stops and turns like a sports car. The AWD, with power distributed on demand to all four wheels, never loses grip, no matter what the road conditions, and on a snaky stretch of country road you can throw it around almost like a WRX, except of course in far great comfort, and quietly enough to hear every note of a violin solo though the premium sound system. This car is just a pleasure to drive, especially on a long cruise, and if you do have to be stuck in a traffic jam somewhere, why not in climate controlled comfort, sitting on fine grained leather, listening to an audiophile grade sound system?

I thought my wife might like this, but she thinks it's too big for her, so it has to go.

Dealers are asking $13,000 -$17,000 for this model, in this sort of condition. Private sellers are getting close to $12,000. If you want a Liberty, or any well-appointed luxury vehicle, look no further. You won;r do better.
