- We're thinking of giving Johnny the snip soon, but have always felt we should try him as a stud dog first. He is a purebred Swiss Shepherd (no papers), short haired. Beautiful temperament, fiercely local and can be timid but never aggressive. Personality we have noticed is different to the GSD, but still has a big booming bark when on guard (with tail between legs...). Easy to train, easy to walk and walks off lead. Very dog and kid friendly. Happiest as a lap dog or at your feet after a run at the beach. Negotiable with breed of dame, not many short haired Swiss shepherds in WA so that would be preferable. Also open to mix breeds, would make a great family dog. Negotiable with price
