Description

'Winnie' is a well bred, brown/bay thoroughbred mare, Australian Stud Book registered, approx 14.3-15hh, born yo). Her racing name was 'Worth noting' (Rushnote x Betchworth)and comes from a succesful racing family. The sire of her foal is also well bred; his ASB registered name is 'Special Chime' and so this foal will be a very good racing prospect, or will be a classy mount for dressage, hacking, polocrosse, stockhorse etc. The foal is expected in late November, or December.

Winnie is completely sound, healthy, is dewormed regularly and in excellent spring condition. She has been regularly barefoot trimmed and gets all her supplements etc.

In the herd she gets along famously with others, loves company and adores being fussed over. She is easy to catch, shoe, rug, float, dose etc. She will suit someone looking for a broodmare for breeding stockhorses, hacks, polocrosse, racing, pretty much anything. She is an ex-racing horse, so she is broken in but has been used as a broodmare for a while now. She could be brought back into work by an experienced rider.

When I got her she had a little bit of Qld itch (allergy to insect bites) but healed up soon after arrival here and never had trouble since.
Due to this she cannot go to northern Qld, but will be fine somewhere with mild climate.

Winnie is for sale due to no fault of her own; I am simply changing direction and am seeking taller mares. Genuine inquiries are welcome, inspection/vetcheck welcome. We are located along the New England Highway in Northern NSW (near Glen Innes) so transport interstate is readily available.
