PRINTS with original frames. Probably antique

We've made a few enquiries about these prints and find they are, apparently, antiquarian prints.

One fella said "Judging by the way the prints have been framed they are late 19th.century or early 20th probably about 1910."

A lady advised "Prints require a specific type of knowledge, and there are few people who are experts in this field. However, I can tell you that these late Victorian prints were not reproductions of paintings, but were produced as prints and reflect popular taste in home decoration during the latter part of the 19th century."

We were told the owners of the prints must have really liked them as they got them both framed.

They are both Printed in Holland by Wells, Gardner, Darton & Co.

Both of these much loved framed prints have a poem at the bottom.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find out who the composer was.

We, like the original owners about a 100 years ago, really like these gorgeous prints, which are complimented by the frames that house them.

Cols Aunty owned these prints, then, when she died his uncle took over ownership until his death. We are of the firm believe that the lady who owned the house before Cols Aunty and who left her house and contents to our late Aunt, was the original owner of these framed prints.

We are sure there is a house out there that would give these antiquarian prints the exposure they are worthy of, as well as supplying the purchaser with as much joy as we have had when looking at them.
