This tree may be planted out in coastal areas or potted and pruned to grown in a sheltered area if you are in a frost zone. The tree grows well in full sun positions. Most parts of the tree are edible and very high in protein, nutrients and vitamins.

Most parts of the tree are edible, the leaves, pods, flowers buds, blossoms, and seeds can all be eaten. The flower buds and blossoms should be cooked; the seeds can be eaten raw or cooked. The leaves and pods are very high in protein, nutrients and vitamins. The Moringa tree can provide 7 times the vitamin C of oranges, 4 times the calcium of milk, 4 times the Vitamin A in carrots, twice the protein of milk, and 3 times the potassium of bananas.

Meringa trees can grow rapidly in warm weather, one of the easiest ways to keep them at a manageable height, is to prune back every other top growth, and cut the branches in half, length-wise. This will encourage the Moringa tree to branch out, along the trunk, and prevent you from having a tree that is difficult to harvest, with buds, blossoms, leaves and pods that are difficult to reach.

Planting your tree
When you plant the tree dig out a 50cm X 50cm hole and fill with free draining soil, fertilise with mature organic fertiliser and water regularly.

The seedlings may be picked up from the Toodyay area, as we (do not post) the plants, but may be able to deliver to the Midland area on Saturdays only for $5:00 each potted plants.
