GLASS BASKET with a TWISTED THORN HANDLE

Now here is something that deserves to be shown off, but we just don't live in the sort of Stylish Environment it is worthy of.

It is known as a Spatter Glass Basket.

This is where the glass maker, at the end of the day, would gather together all the scraps of glass then, rather than wasting it all, would blend them into such pieces as this fine-looking glass basket.

I'm not absolutely sure of the date of this lovely piece of work.

My investigations range from Victorian to the early part of the 20th. Century.

This probably then makes it an antique.

Apparently it was made in England.

To us, this Glass Basket, with its Twisted Thorn Handle, is absolutely beautiful and in wonderful condition.

It just needs a fine setting to display all that this stunning piece of glass has to offer.

This utterly gorgeous basket belonged to Cols mum. Whilst we aren't sure who owned it before her, we believe it may have belonged to her mum before she inherited it.
