This is a Dec 1999 Build of the series Rav4, so the last of the series and actually has Disc Brakes on rear and not Drum Brakes which all pre-1999 models have.
Some of the older models do not have Fuel Injection or Electronic Ignition either, another thing you might want to consider.
This Rav4 is priced to sell! being on average $1000 less (1999 Model - LOW K's) than from a Car Dealer yet includes a 3yr AWN warranty which on average most Car Dealers only supply a 12month AWN warranty.
Selling Point #2 is that this Rav4 has four new Tyres, what we didn't know when we bought this Rav4 was how expensive tyres are, four new fitted tyres will set you back about $1000 or even more at some places, one place quoted $1250!!!. So there's a bit of comfort that you won't have that expense for a long while if you purchase this Rav4. We have a BobJane Voucher booklet with the Tyres which gives you discounted wheel alignments at regular intervals to keep the Tyres in Tip Top!
Selling Point #3 This Rav4 has low Kilometres, 144,500km, many Rav4s of this series have done twice as much mileage.
Selling Point #4 Like when buying from a car dealer, we have just renewed the Rego, so it has 6 months registration also.

About the Warranty: We purchased it with a 5yr Warranty from a Car Dealer, just over 1½yrs ago, This can be transferred to the new owners within 7 Days of purchase for a fee of $75.
Is it worth it? Well for us it was, It is a 10yr old used car, and a month after we purchased it, the Driver Electric Window stopped working, we had the Electric motor replaced free of charge under the warranty. 4mths ago, the 5th Gear would not stay in gear, if you search the internet a bit and talk to a transmission mechanic, you will hear that it is a common problem with these Rav4's, but we got a NEW 5th Gear Cog replaced in the transmission, FREE OF CHARGE because it is under AWN warranty.
